What Is an ACP Sign Board?

ACP (Aluminium Composite Panel) is made of two thin aluminium sheets bonded to a solid core. It is light, rigid, weather-proof and available in many finishes, which makes it the most popular base for shop fronts and building signage in India. An ACP sign board uses this panel as the background and adds your brand name and logo on top – as 3D acrylic letters, stainless steel letters, vinyl graphics or LED backlit cut-outs.

For most shop and office sign boards we use 3 mm ACP. For large building facades, high-wind locations or premium projects we recommend 4 mm ACP with a thicker aluminium skin, fixed on a strong MS or aluminium frame.

A well-made ACP sign board lasts many years outdoors. ACP does not rust or rot and handles sun and rain well. LED modules and drivers usually last 3–5 years or more and can be replaced easily if needed.

ACP sign boards are rigid, weather-proof and give a premium, long-lasting finish, usually with 3D letters and LED lighting. Flex and sun board signs are cheaper and quicker to make but fade and wear out faster, so they suit temporary or budget signage.
